you can start making resourses in any kind u want @ Resources window. Add a resources name or you can copy existing resources(then edit) and view the bottom details of resources. Then modify the details in Details tab, you can choose labor, non labor, materials. And make sure you will specify the calendar of the resources, corresponding to the activities calendar, it must be the same.
If you are prompt to monitor the resources with corresponding units and cost, just go to unit and prices and indicate price/unit of the resources you added and the maximum unit/time u will allow for the resources to work on specific activities.
