it is not possible in MS Project to select a specific baseline as the "default baseline" against which MSP would compare "Actual" to calculate a Variance.
Project overviews Variance is always calculated between Actual Start / Finish and Baseline Start / Finish; where "Baseline" stands for "Initial Baseline" with no number (i.e. <> "Baseline1", ...
if you want to save a 2nd baseline and have it used in the Variance, you will have to save "Baseline" as "Baseline1" first, then save the current project as "Initial Baseline (no number)" again

MSP variance is ok.
we can use formula to calculate variance to our requirements(whatever may be the baseline).
