It means that if the second shift duration is 8 hours and the work begins at its start then after 5 hours it will stop and wait for the next shift.

Is it true?

When the schedule is developing it is not known when activities will start and finish.

Thank Duy Huynh,

That’s what I did to rectify the situation.

But I still do not understand why Primvera interpret differently.

Hi Lucas,

For above requirement, you have to create two record in the Resources dictionary for Resource: Welder, Ex:

Welder: Shift1, effective date xxxxx max unit/time 8h/d, default unit/time 8h/d, price $40.

Welder 2: Shift2, effective date same as above, max unit/time 5h/d, default unit/time 5h/d, price $20.

Add both record into which activity you want him to work on.

That is what best resolve your issue.

Regards,

Duy
