Dear Mai,

Read the Conditions of Contract and get a copy of the Deliverables.

Read the Submitted claim and open a separate section for each design phase.

If the Conditions of Contract identifies the milestone and deliverables for each design phase, and the review process, then that is good. Otherwise, you have to read carefully the correspondence during the project, and check who did what, when and why.

If the Concept Design was not agreed during the early stages of the design, then the product at a later stage will not be approved by the client.

It seems like a management issue that has developed because of poor communication.

Can you tell us what EXACTLY is the request of the Engineer.

With kind regards,

Samer

Hi:

The engineer is making the claim against client.

The nature of issue that the engineer has revised a part of design 3 times , but every time in different point.

Lump sum agreement, that u can say each stage of design phase under a different percentage of total amount.

My role in the claim , to prepare a full detailed report to the client

Hi Mai

More information is required.

Who is making the claim against whom?

What is the nature of the claim - Late Issue - Negligent Design etc?

What is the form of contract?

What will be your role in the claim?

Best regards
