dats right Artagnan, i don’t have SDK installed in my computer. for this i have to check my IT department.

But by the way, how can i generate S-curve for cash folw in p6. I want to generate Early / Late / Forecast S-curve in P6. Please help me in this regard. What is the default procedure for that.

Thanx

This is because no Primavera 6 SDK is installed in your system. If you have the installation CD, run the setup.exe and then modify the installation by adding the SDK. Accept all the defaults. That should work.

Thanks Artagnan.

I got the file. But i need some troubleshooting from you.

While executing message appeared:

"ODBC - Connection to ’Primavera P6 SDK’ failed"

Then I follwed the same what you mentioned in your PDF file.

Linked Table Manager (Window)-

Select All-

OK-

Select Data Source (Window)-

Machine Data Source (Tab)-

(Here I didn’t find Primaver P6 SDK only user database was there). Then I clicked ’New...’

ODBC System DSN Warning Window appeared with a message:

’You are logged on with non-administrative privileges. System DSNs could not be created or modified.’-

Please suggest what to do!

Mr Artagnan,

I have been using MSP 2007 all along and creating the S curve using visual reports. Ever since the company switched to the p6 I have not been happy about my S curve. Your approach and integration sounds like perfect. Could you please send a copy to my mail address?

Mail me at [email protected]/ [email protected].

Thanx in Advance

Aftab

The problem is i have not worked with SDK and don’t have any idea about it.. :(

no worries Jaya. I am so glad that finally, after several days of figuring out how to make it work in your computer, we were able to make it run. I will make a documentation for vista users this week if i will have some spare time.

cheers.

Hi Adrianne,

Million thanks to you for your seamless help in solving the problems I had with the files to generate S-Curve. The files are working fine with my VISTA system now. I have managed to

import data from Primavera to Access and run the macro.

The output in excel sheet is just that i needed so much.

Thanks for your good work buddy.

@mimoune

you are right. you can only access task_spreads from the SDK.

Thank you for the new file. Is "TASK_SPREADS" an existing Table or a view or a self generated table? I’m always looking for a table like this, but just cannot find it.

@mimoune

the access can be open in 2003 and 2007 however, excel should be in 2007 because pivot charting in 2003 is not as flexible as the former. You are right, when you put the access in the shared folder and remap the excel file connection, you can have several excel files which will extract the same data.

It’s good to know you worked it out.

thanks very much mr D Artagnan, that’s a beautiful solution.

the best part, when you put the access database in a shared folder, everybody can have access to the updated report without the need to have an " expensive" license of P6. after all people only wants reports.

only one small comment, is it really necessary to have the vba code and 2007 file format !!

thanks again for your work.
