I agree that whether it 0d,0h or 0m the critical is less than zero.
WhileI have changed the working time (per day) 8h to 10h and when I have changed in the critical definition the number of days was eaual to same number of hours. Now i have changed again the working hours to originally set up hour. (In the calender >>> modify >>> work week). Now the number days has been coverted to Hrs correctly.

Could you please confirm,
1) You have changed the time units >>> Units format and Durations format to Days
2)Ensure the tick mark on the Show duration label boxes
3) Now you press F9 >>> Options >>> Difine Critical activities as >> Total float less than or equal to. should now appear 0d.

Barrie u r right,
But, problem will be when u want to find near crtical activities, like total float less than 9 days.
If u insert 9, then it will consider 9 hours rather than 9 days.
However, just to clarify again, there is no such setting in P6 by whihc we can change the unit from hours to days or weeks for claculating critical path.
I dont want to upset anyone, but there really isnt any difference between 0h, 0d, 0w etc.

My purpose to define the critical activity less than 0D. not 0 h. However in the F9 option for criticality definition it comes 0h. Then i have to change 24 hour instead 0d. Is that by default 0h in the schedule option?

Hi Ajith,
If your purpose only is to change the " h " into " d ", then there is a workaround. However, as Rav mentioned in his post #4 extracted from Primavera Manual is how exactly hours converted into days.
Anyway, try this step:
Go to Admin Menu --> Admin Preferences --> Time Periods tab, change the "Time Period Abbreviations" under Hours, from "h" to "d" and Days from "d" to "D".

This is the basic setting in P6 and u cant change to days.
Heres a extract from manual on this option:
The value you enter in this field is automatically converted to hours, regardless of your user preference settings for duration display (User Preferences, Time Units tab). The value is converted to hours based on hours per timeperiod settings defined in Admin Preferences or in the default project calendar, depending on an administrative preference (Admin Preferences, Time Periods tab).
If you do not specify a unit when entering a value (for example, you enter 2 rather than 2d), the value is displayed in hours, regardless of your user preference settings for duration display (User Preferences, Time Units tab).
Choose Longest Path if you want to identify your critical activities based on the longest path in the project network. In a multicalendar project, the longest path is calculated by identifying the activities that have an early finish equal to the latest calculated early finish for the project and tracing all driving relationships for those activities back to the project start date.

The time unit is days at user preference. Still the problem exist.

Go to Edit>User Preferences>Time Units and change the duration format to day instead of hours. It will solve your problem.

Raviraj is correct, it does not matter how your user setting is configured, this particular box will always display time units in hours only.
If you want to set the critical definition to display activities with 9 days or less, then just enter, "9d" in that slot and it will convert this to hours using the current hours/day conversion factor. It may say something like, "72h" but that is as close as you are going to get.
Just remember this P6 fact: P6 may display durations in days but it always works in hours. Good luck!
