Hi Craig,

Based on the RVP notes issued by Oracle/Primavera, Version 7.0 will enable you to do early & late curves @ the activity level without the need to export to excel.

If your company is in maintenance, it is now available to download via the Oracle website: edelivery.oracle.com

We will be switching across in the next couple of weeks & I’m looking forward to comparing its functionality to the old V6.2.1.

Failing that...

The very best way is via an application like crystal reports, etc...

Alternatively, the next best way to create the S-curve is still by a time distributed report that is saved as a csv file, though I must admit that getting a late spread of hrs or costs at the activity level requires a bit of a work around (I usually set my primary baseline to it’s late dates & gather my early dates from the project baseline).

Another way is to run a report at the resource assignment level, and just group via the activity name (Activity Id doesn’t show up 4 some weird reason). That way you can get the remaining early & late date, but unfortunatly you can’t get the EV at the resource assignemnt level.

Hope this helps

Kind Regards

Mark Porter

Thankyou for that reply Alexandre, however, I would like to know the easiest way to create an S Curve (with the data from P5/6)in Excel. As your aware I need to be able to get the early, late and planned dates from P5/6 in to a table and then create the curve. Is there an easier way than creating a report to generate the dates I need?

Thanks,

Craig

Craig,

the easiest way in PM5/6 is to display the resource profile view full screen, then select the appropriate data in the option dialog
