I’ve tried doin the global change but it really doesn’t work but I would be glad if you can teach me the workaround. I agree that P6 made it easier by filtering activities with the activity codes assigned, and use the command bar for assigning resources.

Dude, why change the activity code for something it’s not to be. Play along with your bean counters. If you need to re-filter go along the lines of something else!

Any more departmental crap and tel them your only the brains.... not the mastermind!

First of all thank you, hey arnold i would like to explain to you my vision.what i want to do is assign a certain activity code in my list of activities for example i have an activity excavation i like to assign an activity code to that activity lets say 022020 is my activity doce assigned. then in the global change feature i like to say to P6 that all activities assigned with an activity code of 022020 assign resources to that activity such as foreman laborer and a helper... do you think it is possible?

I tried this but it’s working fine with me. I am using P6 v.6.2.1 before and now P6 v7.0

Hi Arnold,



What he really want is to assign resources using global change to activities with specific activity codes assigned on it, as far as I know this is still an enhancement request, and I am not sure if this has been resolved in P6 v7.



I also agree it is much easier to filter activities and use the resource tab in the command bar for assigning resources.

Hi Pat,



I got what you mean.. The reason why you cannot use this Subject Area that fit your requirements it is because, some Parameters & Value is not available from Activities, Resource Assignment & Project Expenses.



Try to use the easy functionality in the Navigation Bar, Activity Toolbar, Directory & Command Bar Button.
