in 102 and 106 you wont find that information. On your installation DVD or stick there is a directory "Docu". There you can find the admin guide.
D:\USB_P621SP\Documentation\English\Construction and Engineering --> file: adminguide.pdf
The data-model is under:
D:\USB_P621SP\Documentation\English\Technical Documentation\Schema Docs file: PMDB P6.2 Diagram.pdf (A0-format) and the description of all tables and processes: PM_62_schema.zip in the same directory.
Thank you for your support. I survey the 102 & 106 books. There are no information aboud the database systems and algorothms. If there are good papers or documents about this subject, could you share or link?
I am planning to use a IT help (proffessional about DB). For info; We are using MS SQL for other in project applications.
PMDB within a domain(MS SQL-Server 2005 SP2 or Oracle 10.2 or 11.1) shouldnt be a problem. Have a look under "Tested Configurations" on your installation DVD and study the admin guide.
Together with P6 you receive an API (Application Programmers Interface). This will cover the handling of metadata as well. Read tables: no problem, write/edit tables: youll need some learning and experience - be careful.
