I am just migrating from P3 to P6 and the latter is really more robust to handle complicated tasks. One thing that I really find interesting is that P6 runs faster than P3 when handling thousands of activities.
In my opinion, P3 is easier to install and use. It also has better graphics. P6 has way more features and handles complicated multi-schedule situations better and supports more simultaneous users.
The biggest difference is that P3 is no longer for sale while P6 is sold world-wide. Good luck!
