in my project weight factor based on cost but i did not assign cost to the P6 Schedule.



may be i will distrub you again in case my project xcl.progress measurement sheet and P6 progress give me a different result.



as you advise me.



I will be update schedule based on phy.progress % obtaining through xcl.progress measurement sheet.

Hi Shahzad,



If you are calculating weighted based on cost or units, for me I used to assign the weighted for each activity using Excel sheet and export it back to P6. This is easier than assigning them in P6.



At least you know these activities were already assigned using weight factor and there is no need for you to calculate them in P6 just simply update.



In addition, try also utilizing "Steps" and assign each activity according to their weight factor and update them by means of the Physical % complete and you will get better result.
