Hi Adam

Another thing - how did you get the job of managing a NEC3 Level 1 programme with only 4 months planning experience?

Best regards

Hi Adam

Why is there more than one schedule.

As the Tier 1 contractor you should be in charge of the Master schedule which inetrgrates all the tier 2 sub programmes.

I am assuming that tier 1 & 2 are the same name as Level 1 & Level 2 etc following the standard planning terminology.

If your level 2 programmes are not combined and linked up to a level 1 programme to form a clear critical path then you will never control the project.

Dear Adam,

I can only answer the last part of your question. The most important issue is "Communication". Make sure that the teams responsible for the different Schedules know about each other and are communicating frequently. Changes, progress, delays are documented and distributed and problem solving is done together.

Of course, if you have a standard requirements for submitting the Programmes, then it would be easier for all parties to use.

With kind regards,

Samer
