Use the Dictionary60.xls file that comes with P6. Import the first system into it and then conenct it to the second system and Set the dic into it.

I’m not talking about the activity level UDF data. I’m talking about the library itself in Primavera.

For example: I create a UDF in my company’s P6 system called Estimate_Line_Num. I create an activity and assign Estimate_Line_Num as ’1’. Then I export it to excel.

The column heading for Estimate_Line_Num would read something like ’user_define_889’.

If I do the same thing on my personal copy of Primavera the columne heading will not be the same(ie.. user_define_197). So if you export a UDF from one system it will not transfer to another system because, although they may have the same title, they don’t have the same system label.

I’m wondering if there is a way to export the library itself so that they will be transferable between the systems.

Hi Tim,

You can display UDF in your column and simply include this UDF during exporting to excel and modify it on excel.

Go to file --> export --> spreadsheet-(XLS) then follow the wizard.

hth.

Hi

I think you might have to sync through excel file.

We can export/import UDF to Excel easily.

Or if your company have programming team, you can ask them to build a tool to sync UDF through Primavera Integration API.
