Cost Profile in Primavera

hi,

Yes, P6 can deal with it.

We can use expense of activity to do it. Expense only has 3 distribution(start of activity, end of activity, uniform), so sometimes we may not express some special request just like any particular date.

The other way is use resource. In this case,we should create a resource named ’cost’ and set the price=$1. Then we allocate the ’cost’ to the activities and set the quantities (cost=price*quantity=1*quantity). At the same time ,we adjust the ’cost’ distribution use resource curve, direct revise the value in the table and/or assign a special date.

Best Regards.

Hi Niles,

I tried your responses to implement in Primavera,

1)I tried using expenses.I described accural type expenses at " At Finish".It distributed planned cost by baseline finish or original finish instead of only Finish. So it put the planned cost in wrong month. How can i do it only "Finish"???

2)For 2nd step..I tried but was partial successful.

Do you have any references material which I can read to complete the second way of doing?

Thanking you
