My preference is AACE Recommended Practice.
It is very comprehensive.
Cheers,
Happy Planning and Scheduling
Hi David
Good choice of books - although I have never read a book on delay analysis yet.
I did buy About Time last year because I was up in front of Linnett in an adjudication.
I managed to get in a sly comment about delay analysis being a "dark art" which went down quite well.
Won the case too.
Best regards

I suggest you first download for free:
The Society of Construction Law ‘Delay and Disruption Protocol’ (www.eotprotocol.com)
and
AACE International Recommended Practice No. 29R-03 ‘Forensic Schedule Analysis’ (http://www.aacei.org/technical/rps/29R-03.pdf)
Then the books are:
‘About Time: Delay Analysis in Construction’ by Stephen Lowsley and Christopher Linnett (ISBN: 1842192477) - about $70.
‘Delay Analysis in Construction’ by P. John Keane and Anthony F. Caletka (ISBN: 1405156546) - about $116.
‘Delay and Disruption in Construction Contracts’ by Keith Pickavance (ISBN: 1843114267) - about $440.
You might have to search for the books, Amazon say Lowsley & Linnet and Pickavance are not available, though Construction Books Direct seem to have them available (http://www.constructionbooksdirect.com/). If you are starting out I particularly recommend Lowsley & Linnett, apart from Steve being a mate, the book is very easy to read (and the cheapest on the list). I was very impressed with John and Tony’s book - there is stuff in there and a slightly different approach than is taken with most books on the subject. Pickavance is financially out of the reach of most folks but is a ‘must have’ reference book for most corporate offices, but probably not suitable as a ‘teach yourself’ guide.
Just my opinions so my apologies if I my choices don’t match other PPers.
Happy reading…
David
