Cash Flow

This is possible, but not trivial.

P6 only keeps the "cost" of a resource, not its "value", so this requires us to use positive and negative values for resource quantities on different resources (i.e. at least one for cost and one for value).

Therefore you will need to set up a resource called something like "Getpaid" where the budgeted quantity is always a negative number, as the resource dictionery does not allow a negative price-per-unit.

While it is possible to set up a resource asignment against an activity where the resource happens, say, 60 days after the finish of the activity - P6 DOES NOT calculate progress properly for activities with resource lag and duration. Therefore the "Getpaid" resource will have to be on seperate activities linked with a FS relationship and lag to represent the payment delay.

The built-in graphics, in particular the "Activity Usage Profile" which OUGHT to graph a project cashflow DOES NOT support negative numbers, amazing as that seems.

Therefore cashflow graphics would have to be produced by pivoting the data inot Excel.

Have fun.
