hi Luca,
Thanks for the advice, right now everyone has gone for their year end vacation, si i guess i can only restart after the new year.
Hi
remember in a claim is not important what happened but most what you can prove with evidence.
Evidence can be letters, email, reports, photos, schedule in any kind and format.
Be systematic in your approach and record everything in order to support your finding and conclusion
If necessary go and make interview with the key project memeber, record everything.
Good luck.
L
PS
is good to be involved in claims for projects you have not worked for.
Is easier to be more critical and not assumption just becasue you know it!
YOU NEED TO PROVE IT!!!
Dear Anu, Samer,
Thank you for sharing.
A little about these two projects and my position. These two projects are nearing completion already, they never had any schedule in place. I am a scheduler based in Malaysia, and these two projects are in India. I have tried several times to push for schedules, but I have never succeeded.
Well, I guess my next course of action will be to travel and have meeting to talk to the people. As far as I know, paper work is seriously lacking, and people are already demobilised :(
I will come back once I have more information and I know I am going to need more advise.
Thanks again to all of you.
Dear Nickie,
This is a fun project and it depends on how much time you have to find the RC and then do the Analysis.
From the Contract documents, you can find the starting point and the end point of the project. From the drawings you can find the construction sequence. From your team members you can find the resource that were available on the project, and the productivity rates, then you can find the durations.
If the daily reports are not available, then please check your finance department. They will have payment records for all the suppliers and the manpower. This is a starting point.
One of the best choice is to have several meetings are different levels within the project team. You will be able to listen and write down to what went wrong, then you can start your analysis on your top 5 or more causes.
If you give us more information about the type of project you have, I am sure that several members can assist.
Best Regards,
Samer
Hello,
The first action, you must get those schedule, the current progress, man-hour, remaining work volumn and construction productivity rate on hand.
