Hello Syed,
Try this exercise (spreadsheet are expanded in days): Initially, you will see the total number of man-hours daily. Then, you may right-click on the spreadsheet area to open the user preference dialog box or go to edit, and then change the time units from hours into days. Click close in the dialog box and it will give you the result in total man-days.
Keep on experimenting, theres a lot more behind the program.
Best regards.
Ferdinand
dear ferdinand
do u imply that the figure shown in activity / resources usage spreadsheet is the number of units it itself an not mandays? please clarify
thanks
Yes, I understand it to be that way. I just dont include the suffix "d" to display only the number.
80d => 80 units - (correction)
Dear Ferdinand, thank you very much for the suggestion, you r right, still its the physical numbers of resources that iam looking for and i guess resource in mandays shall be divided by days to get the men, i .e. manpower.
as in p3 the budgeted qty was in mandays which is product of men * duration (of the activity).
i guess in p6 the unit suffix d can still be taken as number its eld - ex. 80d implies 8 units of a resource.
thanks again
Hello Syed,
I responded to your posting in the forum of "no subject specified". Try to experiment with that idea using the User Prefereence dialog box Time Units. I guess by changing the Time Format you will derive units of man-hours if the unit format is in hours, and man-days if the unit format is in days.

Ferdinand
