Dear Larry,

It seems that most of the structures that you are listing are steel structures. Usually this is Fabricated and Painted or galvanized by a steel fabricator and then shipped to site for installation.

If you are trying to estimate the Fabrication time of the Fabricator, then this depends on the selected Fabricator and their capability and empty capacity and the type of steel that you are Fabricating. If you select a large Fabricator, then they might be able to give you up to 1000MT and more per month. The range is very wide for smaller fabricators.

For erection time, it depends on the method of construction. For standard buildings, the main structure is quick, cladding takes more time.

The more specific your questions is, the better we can answer.

Best Regards,

Samer

Hi Larry - is there any kind of cost estimate you can get manhours/quantities from? Otherwise you may have to look at equipment/structural/civil drawings etc and take an educated guess!! As long as you record the assumptions upon which your estimate is based eg if you use, say, 20 manhours per ton of structural steel. Also if you have access to similar project’s records you may be able to pro-rata direct hours according to scale difference in the plants.

cheers,

Omar
