my question is, what is a delay analyst?
i mean breifly, what are the qualifications or job descritpion of a delay analyst?
Cherie,
The delay company will get way above 600. Try x4 + expenses and that will be a starting point.
Of course the good ones will get more...
D
Cherie,
Again, depends on experience, qualifications, etc, etc.
A trainee delay analyst, (former contract planner with experience of doing EoT claims), starting out and learning the trade would probably be on a average planners rate, (see job page for an idea of that), and then you go up from there to three figure hourly rates for someone who can do the lot.
Insurance - depends on level of cover, (£1m to £5m usual),UK or worldwide, (gets more expensive if you want to cover USA and Canada), but would start at a few hundred pounds and then goes up to several thousand pounds a year for someone who can do the lot worldwide. Experience and qualifications arent the only reason for the higher rates!!!!!!!!
Hi Andrew
Thanks for the reply. What would each of the four roles get paid per hour and what is the circa amount paid per annum to cover insurance for these services. ?
Delay analyst only
Delay analyst and expert witness
Delay analyst and expert witness and contractual/claims advice
Delay analyst and expert witness and contractual/claims advice and legal advice
Thanks Andrew
Cherie,
I’m sure any agency will have a percentage on top!!!
Rates - depends really what exactly you’re capable of doing, (and insured to do!).
Delay analyst only
Delay analyst and expert witness
Delay analyst and expert witness and contractual/claims advice
Delay analyst and expert witness and contractual/claims advice and legal advice
Or some other combination!!!!!!
Thanks Vincent. Does this mean that the comapny gets paid double that ?
Regards
Cherie
A good delay analyst can virtually name their price in London. I was contacted in relation to a forensic planning/delay analysts position recently (18 month contract) and they were willing to pay £600/day. If your friend is still interested, get them to send me the CV and ill pass it on to the recruiter (ill get a referal fee for this which I am happy to divide fairly)
