Hi Suresh

It depends on the actuals:

- no actual units: just replace A by B (icon just above the help sign within the assign resources window)

- With actual units: The most accurate would be: Put an end-date to the assignment and make a new one with the new resource. To replace A by B, you’ll have to remove the actual units first - and later assign them to the new resource.

Assign second resource and allocate remaining days, remove remaining days from original resource.

Hi Diater,

Sorry if the qst made you confused.

All i want to know is how can replace one resource with another in the middle of a project.



Eg:

Software Engineer (Jose) is assigned for acivity 01 . When duration of the task became 50% he left job. Now i want use another guy (Eg: Alex) in replacement of jose. How can i make it possible without affecting the performance % complete or some other crap result.

Hi Suresh

I don’t really understand your question: Labour worked e.g. 6 hours and now you say the fitter was it? Then you’ll remove the actual units --> replace by fitter --> assign the actual units again --> Schedule. In reports you’ll find the actuals under the data date.

Within the window "Assign resources" you’ll find the icon on the right side.
