Dear Manfred,
Please ensure that you have saved your baseline schedule in peoper way i.e. assigning it (the schedule U want to keep as basline) as primiry baseline.
The symptoms as U mentioned are frequent when baseline is not saved.

Hi,
You are confused between Primary Baseline and Original baseline.
Possibly that you havent created your Original baseline yet or maybe you have not assigned your Original baseline into the primary baseline window.
If the primary baseline is current project dates for your baseline will also change when you change your schedule.
Check your primary baseline window. It must have the assignment of your original baseline.
