do you want the inserted project to be a sub-project in the master project and to remain available outside of the master project, or to be a part of the main project?
if you answer "yes" to the 1st point, the unique ID of the sub-project will remain because the sub-project is an individual project too; if you answer "yes" to the 2nd point, uncheck the "Link to project" box in the Insert a project dialogbox.
