Claim report

Hi Emma

Since you are responding to a submitted claim all you need to do is follow the same format as the submission.

Make sure that each of your comments follows and matches the line / paragraph number of the submission.

Some people insert their comments in a different font - colour directly under the submission text. This can avoid confusion but but forms a bulky document.

Above all keep your comments rational and use simple text - at all costs avoid emotional language.

Finish with a succinct conclusion and reccomendation.

If you are drafting a claim for presentation then there is no standard template as each consultant has his own ideas and style.

All that is required are three steps:

Justification

Substantiation

Quantification

All leading to

Adjudication

Litigation

and taht is too much aliteration for now.

Best regards

Emma,

It varies to the type of contract ie.: Lump Sum, Unit Rates, Cost Plus..etc.

Send me a PM with your email address so I can send you some templates.
