Hi There, I find your question about Planning Standards interesting. It would seem sensible to have such a thing, however what you find is that within different sections of industry there are different processes. Some people call them quality planning, e.g in the rail industry there are so many safety cases, that they in fact drive the plans. In IT however, prince 2 is the standard for pulling projects together, so basically the plans are built round them. When you get into the detail for IT Delvery, most areas have procedures and processes to follow. Hope this helps, to be honest I’ve not convinced myself.
