Hi Alex,

You are very correct if the total duration is in weeks then we should plan in hours e.g.shutdowns etc.

ashraf,

for sure planing the project in hours instead of days would be more simple, but it does not sound logical for every one to plan a 30 month project in hours, don’t you agree?

Thanks Ashraf for the immediate response given.

This doesn’t work, but yaa as alex said i have to show every alternate day in ramdan month as non-working, which is not correct logically, but thats the only solution.

Cheers,

Hi Alex/Ravi,

Have you tried copying this project with HOURS as planning unit. I hope if it works the solution will be much simple.

Hi Ravi & Ashraf,

I have just given the same advice to one customer in Algeria: create a "Ramadhan" daily calendar where every other day is a nonworking day.

You can only create calendars with the same unit as the project planning unit.

Hi Ravi,

The answer to your question is NO you cannot add one more calender as planning Unit - HOUR, when you have already allocated calender with planning unit as DAY.

You can try making a Calendar with equivalent working days (3 instead of 6). This may help to some extent.

Ashraf
