Hi All

Best regards

I do believe that time of crisis is time for opportunities.

Crisis in EPC projects, may be is the time for looking at operation & maintenance planning.

Can anyone recommend sites about planning in this area.

Thanks & Cheers,

You can always to go to any field you like.

Start as Asst. planner and try to learn the tricks of the trade and move on.

There is no specific course the skills will come to you by experience only.

The requirement for production and maintenance planner is usually the following.

1) Have highschool / certificate course as qualification, if you are a Diploma it is sufficient.

2) You should have around 10 years experience in production/maintenance field.

3) You should be aware of maintenance cycles of major equipments eg. for colums / vessels it is 3 years for cleaning and 6 years for full inspection.

4) You should be aware of maintenance spares etc. which need to be replaced during overhaul.

5) You should be aware of maintenance tools and tackles.

6) You should have fair about the time required for maintenance activities e.g. hydrojetting of a heat-exchanger etc.

The list is bit long but the bottomline is you should have worked in the maintenance environment for long enough as planners are most important person in maintenance and production.

Regards,

Ashraf
