Hi Guys,
It is always unfortunate when people dissagree and can’t seem to get a resolution. Over the past months I (this is James typing this time) have had some severe, and I thought unwarranted, words fired at me for various issues on the PP. On more than one occaision I have thought about pressing the delete button on the network server.
It appears that you guys have fallen out big time over this issue and I am not experienced enough to offer a solution to the problem. The only advice that I can offer (if it helps) is to say that next time (and I hope that you both will continue to support the site in the manner intended) you, or any of us, can’t agree on an issue is to discuss it over the email in private, and then publish your findings or agreement to disagree in the relevant post. In this way, if one or more of you / us looses our temper it will not be shown to the rest of the PP group.
All I can say guys, is that ALL of you moderators have been doing a great job and I am proud that I am able to be participating in the continued growth of the PP entity.

The conduct of every moderator is an issue that concerns us (PP moderators) all. What exactly are we doing as moderators if not to ensure that the public discussion threads do not degenerate?
I had a valid concern and I posted it here in the private moderators forum, not the public forum. This forums purpose is for moderators to discuss concerns, is it not?
I would have posted a similar message here soliciting input from fellow moderators had I read a post from a member or forum guest that I interpreted as similarly sarcastic. If a consensus agreed, I would have edited the post and/or warned the author. However, you are a moderator here so I was able to direct my enquiry directly to you. Why this should put you out I do not understand.
Im glad that the anonymous forum guest did not read your post the same way that I did.
BTW, your last post is a perfect example of what I meant by "lashing out" - proof that it was not so unreasonable of me to have mistaken your intent.

I took that statement to be sarcastic in light of the full message (which I did not quote previously):
What a great idea; simply post a constraint where the logic fails to accurately reflect the real-world consequences. We could do that on all activities and eliminate all of those pesky relationships that only get in the way anyhow.
Perhaps I misread/misinterpreted the tone/intent your post - it is easy to do with text messages. It appears that the anonymous forum guest did not take offense, so it is a moot issue IMO.

What "lasking out?" Do you think that recommending someone to publish his experiances in a trade journal (which I read) is lashing out at them? Is it lashing out when someone nominates a movie for the Oscars?
