Correspondence, Documents & Transmittal are all forms of documents used for Project communication as describe below.
a) Correspondence - Mainly referring to Faxes, Letters and Memos
b) Document are very general terms but usually referring to as follows
1. Drawings
2. Site Instructions/ Variation/ Change Order
3. RFI/ TQ
4. Minutes of Meeting (MOM)
5. Administration documents
6. Contract documents
7. QA/QC documents
8. Site diary
9. Payroll
10. Sub-contract
11. etc..etc…
c) Transmittal are usually the cover page when transmitting these documents and correspondence stating what kind of document and revision, qty, sizes, forms, issue for and what are the documents for.
These are not suggestions and more often the common term used.
