Hi IC Quiamco,

Just wondering were you got your copy of Primavera V6.0 from? It hasnt been released to the public yet and is still in its Beta form.

Ah Rama,

You might have got yourself lost on the critical path setup under P3e. I think the old P3 critical path was the longest path (am i correct ?). If so, you need only change the scheduling options. you can select between longest path (ie. from start to finish OR all activities with float less than XX (in most cases XX = 0).

P3e- This still suffer from User friendliness.

Unable to understand the critical path it is generating. I have been a planner for almost 10 yrs and old P3 had critical path tracked perfectly. Now I have critical path with -ve floats without any predecessors being negative.(No contraints also)

I simply cannot understand why Primavera cannot use the good features of P3 & implement it. The Version 6 looks like just a facewash of Ver 5.0. Many fudamental issues are still not being addressed.

"Primavera 6" is the next version (6.0) of the software that started life in 1999 as P3e 1.0, and has progressed (including the E&C version P3e/c) to the current "Primavera 5" (5.0).

None of these is an "advanced version of P3", in the sense that the development of P3 was halted and there was a new beginning with P3e 1.0.
