DBA user name--------------------sa

DBA Password ---------------------Prima123Vera

Database host address-------------LOCALHOST\PRIMAVERA

Database host port -------------- 49701 (Based on Rodel Instructions above)

New problem coming :after reaching (creating database )

first step :Create the PMDB tables ---------------ok

second step :Load sample data------ coming this massage :

If it is a stand alone installation. The host name should be:

\PRIMAVERA or simply LOCALHOST\PRIMAVERA

The stand alone installation creates a named instance (PRIMAVERA) so you must include that in your database host name.

Forat,

Can you check again the TCP. It’s normally 4 numbers.

Also make sure the login are:

usersname: sa

password: Prima123Vera

Good Luck!!!

The utility still exists. It is now called DBSETUP.BAT and is still located in /install/database/.

The terminology is different in Oracle. What MS SQL calls a "database" is called a "Schema" in Oracle.

You can have multiple schemas, however I do not recommend it with the Oracle XE that comes with Primavera. If you have a full Oracle server you can change the logins such as: ADMUSER_NEW, PUBUSER_NEW, PRIVUSER_NEW. Use the new logins you created in the wizard when setting up your Alias.

Forat,

If you are using an Oracle database, then the answer is easy; there is no way to add a new database. Oracle only supports one database per server (or machine). Only MSSQL and SQL Express support multiple databases. Good luck!

Dear friends Ronald&David

Thanks a lot for your replies…

Daer David

Iam using MSSQL …

DBA user name--------------------sa

DBA Password ---------------------(Required)

Database host address-------------My name

Database host port -------------- 1433

After entering the DBA password ,an error massage coming { SQL Server Exception : The TCP/IP connection to the host (Myname) ,port 1433 has failed :"connection refused)………….."}

Forat,

Database host port - 1433 is Primavera default but may not always the case a correct port and depends of what the PC assigned to your Primavera TCP address. To check the correct TCP address you have to goto Start-> Run-> Regedit and find this address:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\PRIMAVERA\MSSQLServer\SuperSocketNetLib\Tcp\TcpPort then use that address when adding new database.

Rodel
