In P5, the baseline schedule is a separate schedule where you can either using your current schedule or a complete new schedule. That way you can manage your baseline individually. Try to do a bit of reading on the manual of how to manage your baseline, that will help

Thanks Alex for your time..

Yes I am new in P5 reich...but i feel that my problem was not clear to you..lemme explain

I created baseline using ’maintain baseline’, and then assigned it (both project and primary user)....i even shut down the program like we do when MS Windows crash .. hehehehe before updating.

Right now I aint having any prob with baseline values.......Only when i insert true dates and i ’check; Actual, the finish date in actual column reverts back to basline finish dates....if i dont check the box, the value in Finish column remain correct as i inserted.

Hope it is clear now....

Its a strange behaviour of program as i never saw this happening before.

Thanks again

Sound like you are a new comer to the P5 land.

What you need to do is baseline your schedule prior to any update. Once it is set up you baseline will not change because it is effectively a program on its own right.

As a result, you can later revise your baseline with the same project, or just use your current schedule as a baseline.

Check the manual, it will show you how to baseline in P5

Good Luck

Alex
