Sorry, it is of course utility that produces the error.
Will send you a file down today
Thanks
Farid,
Your PM says "MSP 2000"; do you mean MS Project is sdending a error message, or is it the MPX2000 utility?
This piece of software works well with any size of project; before saving your project in MSP, make sure all the durations dipslay in the same unit and display the dates in date/time format.
In case it does not work properly, send me your file.
Alexandre
MsProject
The file has about 1000 activities and it is about 2 MB
Farid,
how large is your project?
is ttaht mpx2000 or P3 that gives you the error?
Alexandre
Alex,
When I try to convert small projects with 10-15 activities it works OK, but as I try bigger ones it shows "Run-time error 5, Invalid procedure call or argument.
Thanks
Farid,
I have not heard of any limit in size; give it a try and tell me.
All the best, bqa 3la kheir
Alex,
Thanks for the file, it works OK with small projects but does not work with big ones (about 1000 activities)
Thanks Alexandre,
I am new to this forum, do not know how to send PM. My e-mail address is [email protected]. Can you please send this to that account.
Thanks in advance
Farid,
everything is clearly explained in Pauls paper, page 4, item 2.3
should you need the Sciforma utility, that works well, just send me a PM and I will mail it to you.
Have a good day
Thanks Paul,
This under tools is P3 to MPX and vice versa converter.
To use this I need my mpp file transferred to mpx, and I use MsProject 2000. How can I transfer mpp into mpx, thats my bottleneck
This is a P3 menu item under Tools.
Regards
Paul E Harris
Thanks Paul
I have downloaded the article and figured out the way I can do transfer.
The question I have got now is: in your article you refer to "MPP to MPX conversion utility" availability at the Primavera.com but I could not find it there, do you have this software available in your possession if yes, can you please me at [email protected]
Many thanks in advance

Dear Paul,
Thanks for your feedback but I did not manage to download that article from your web-site, can you please paste the exact link of the articles whereabout
Many thanks in advance
There are several methods and they all have advantages and disadvantages. There is a technical article on my web site that may assist.
