A tip is to export a simple project to excel first so you are certain to have the exact column headings when you import them back.

Remember it’s ok to delete some of the columns as you can import part of the data only. Just be careful of the information that is contained in hammocks, it’s best to filter these out until you are confident about the export/import routine.

Sriram,

Save the Excel file using the following file extension before you import the data:

a) Lotus 123 - .WKS / .WK1, or

b) dBASE III - .DBF

P3 does not support excel extension.

Cheers!!!

In P3, go to Tools/Project Utilities/Import...

But before importing the Excel Data, make sure that the cell formats, column headings, etc matches with P3.

To be sure, create first an initial project in P3, create at least 1 or 3 temporary activities then Export to Excel.

Transfer your data to this exported file. Then Import this.

Regards.
