Excel Line Graph Problem

Alex,



At present there are not many choices and flexibility in Excel. You got to bear with Scatter XY graph with values on both X and Y axes.



Else, if you got AutoCAD using value and category try to draw the graph manually. Maybe it will help you.

Hi, sorry but these still have the X axis as the category axis and the Y axis as the value axis. I need to turn them round so that the categories appear on the verical axis rather than the horizontal. Thanks anyway

What I’m trying to do is make the Y axis a Catagory axis and the X axis the value axis (By default they are the other way round)for line graphs (not scatter graphs, which have bot X and Y as values axes). Anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry for being dense, but what do I change it to, as the Y data is automatically calculated from the data range.

Go to: Source Data > Series tab > change the range of cells at Values and Category (X) Axis Labels.



This will swap the X data to Y axes and Y data to X axes.
