Prince Charles Hospital Upgrade

As Project Manager, I managed of a team of twenty direct staff and nineteen subcontractors, ensuring the successful design, planning, procurement and delivery of Stage 2A ($18 million) and Stage 2BC ($25 million) of the redevelopment and expansion of the hospital for Project Services and Queensland Health.

• Production of tender schedules, method statements, site layouts, resource histograms, site logistics and information generally relating to the submission of a bid;
• Production of detailed residential contract/ construction schedules, information schedules, long lead schedules and tables of data used during  subcontractor package negotiations;
• Updating progress schedules and reports which are client specific;
• Delay Analysis;
• Mentoring junior planning staff;
• Developing short term and “look ahead” schedules for site staff; and

• Establishing, reviewing, amending and managing planning policies and procedures;
• Training of staff in the policies and procedures, and the principles behind the company’s approach to planning and scheduling ;

• Working with contract operational staff to ensure that the necessary schedules are in place, are compiled in accordance with company principles, policies and procedures, and have consistency;

I was part of a management consultancy that supplied Planning, Commercial Risk and Cost Control services for Transco (British Gas), working from home with visits to site and client offices using both Primavera P3 and Microsoft 2000 computer systems, with supporting documentation produced using various Microsoft packages. In this time I have worked on design & construction projects. Responsible for monitoring Design house / MWC programmes for CTR reporting and change control. Updates and reports to the Client detailing change to programme, along with progress and performance.

-        Supervision of a staff composed by 7 Planners, being responsible for analyze trends and reports to Project Managers, assisting the team on the schedules elaboration and monitoring the EPC planning ensuring quality and consistency.

-        Coordinating the Operations Planning includes the entire fabrication chain (oxycutting, heavy plate and welding shop, extra heavy machining shop, assembly and test).

-        Management and implementation of Lean Manufacturing procedures, supporting the Manufacturing stage.

I am working as senior planning engineer on “New Islamabad International Airport”. Main job responsibility is as follows:

Ø  Produced work schedules for Main/Emergency/Secondary Runways, Aprons, Service Roads, Perimeter Track, Underpasses, Bridges, Drainage System, Water Works, Water Supply & Fire Water Piping System (67Km UG Pipeline), Steel Bridges, Sewerage Treatment Plant & Lift Stations

Ø  Gathered/ Analyzed & distributed work performance reports

Providing detailed Planning and Project Controls services within the team constructing the £63m Bermondsey Dive Under project for Network Rail .  Possession and pre possession planning, production and updating of lookahead programmes, cost and resource loaded contract/baseline programmes covering the 5 year delivery plan, quantitative risk analysis programmes, in conjunction with project team members who own delivery.  Analysis of data and compilation and production of 4 weekly reports including key issues / dashboard, EV reports, Cost Forecast, Safety and risk management.  S

• Produce and update the project schedule in coordination with all departments, histograms, and tabular man-hours reports for the project.
• Involve in FEED Design and tender Stage in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Establish project governance including all stakeholders and deliver project progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
