The scope of work for Van Oord consists of the construction of a 1.5-km rock breakwater, reclamation of an area of 40 hectares, including soil improvement works, and the dredging of the access channel and turning basin. Van Oord deployed a trailing suction hopper dredger, a cutter suction dredger and rock installation equipment.

Senior Planning Engineer (PMC):
Budgetary responsibility for Project Controls Department with local staff of four. Responsible for development and execution of integrated project schedule in Primavera P3 at Consortium level for all E&M system works (Overhead Catenary, Power Supply, Signalling, Telecommunications, Automated Fare Collection, CCTV and Station SCADA) both offshore (production, factory testing, delivery), and onshore (installation and commissioning). Scheduling and risk management for a range of software development and implementation projects. Coordination of up to 14 subcontractors and development partners, often in different countries, with integrated schedules in either Primavera P3e, P3 or MS Project. Preparation and maintenance of reports both internal and for Customer use including Key Performance Indicators such as milestone tracking and earned value analysis. Work Package-based planning with cost control of work packages using SAP and Excel.
Managing a Primavera P6 implementation with 2300 timesheet users and around 400 Project managers, using the tool for scheduling, resource planning and time-reporting on a portfolio of approximately 700 active projects.
