Managed sub-contractors (YEDL & Western Power) during the lifetime of the £180 million fibre network delivery project
Managed and delivered £3 million of electrical connections in the network including design, costs, civils and reconciliation for 1364 locations, ahead of schedule and within budget.
Day to day planning of connections to ensure weekly and monthly targets are met
Weekly meetings with sub-contractor to assess programme delivery and address and resolve any issues raised
M25 Junctions 7 - 8 Widening
Major contract as surfacing sub-contractor to Laing Civil Engineering. The project involved the widening of 10Km of the existing M25 to four lanes in each direction with areas of full depth reconstruction and overlay. A major factor on this project was been the development of Clause 929 & 943 materials.
Project Controller for Thales Avionics inclding the following tasks and resposibilities:-
The creation of the initial Programme Plan that included all deliverable Milestones, Internal Milestones and any other feature that will require to be delivered by the Programme
Generate, maintain and monitor the progress of Work Packages released to support Programme execution
Update budgetary and resource information held within the schedule with actual and analyse cost variation(s).
Site/Section Engineer with Amey Construction. Worked on various highways contracts up to a value of £30m. Also worked on various MoD contracts (runway resurfacing, bulk fuel installations) and sea defence works.
My responsibilities in this role include developing and applying a standardised and consistent approach to long term strategic planning across the Asset Performance directorate and ensuring adherence to programme governance and change control regulations. These activities are carried out whilst ensuring they support and are aligned to the larger-scale business plan and Annual Asset Management Programme. Consideration is given to a wide variety of factors with particular focus on risk management, engineering issues, finance, SQE and potential HR/ER iss
