Senior Planner responsible for an effective team of planners looking after all programme responsibilities in line with the NEC3 contract and works information requirements. Some of the key duties performed are; controlling up to 12 live design contract programmes, early identification any areas for potential delay, raising early warning notices and subsequent impacted programmes. Producing construction programmes for acceptance by the client and monitoring progress against the plan and the activity schedule.

Junior Planner, Costain, Berkeley Nuclear Power Station Decommissioning

Position: Planning Engineer with Costain on their nuclear decommissioning framework at Berkeley Power Station. 

 

The framework objective is to help Magnox put the decommissioned nuclear power station at Berkeley into ‘Care & Maintenance’.  To achieve this they are in the process of extracting all remaining ‘intermediate level waste’ and processing it ready for disposal at a geological disposal facility.  The framework contract is based on the NEC model.  My role as the site planner is fourfold:
