Research qualified contractor to execute specific works, negotiate terms and conditions include competitive price, prepare change order for services purchased and equipment rent,monitor contractor performance during execution phase, verify claims and recommend for payment.Estimate costs for ship repair and conversion enquiries, submit quotation to client, follow up with client’s feedback. Distribute scope of repair works to ship repair manager and production team, attend kick-off meeting with client, initiate project in ERP system.
Pre and post project planning, quantity surveying and cost estimate. Monitoring and suervising the Contractor's construction works to be in accordance with the Ministry of Ashghal / Public Works specifications, design drawings, plans, QA/QC and all related requirements. Progress monitoring and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Established the project setup (project coordination plan, project quality plan, schedule, and budget incl. CTR – Cost, Time & Resources); monitored and rectified the implementation (recovery plan, daily / weekly / monthly report, MOM, supervising document controllers); compiled technical documents, such as Scope of Work and Basis of Design; and handled commercial matters of the project (cost report, change order, level-4 cost estimate, and invoicing)
Prepared the bid cost estimate by means of computing the cost of mechanical equipment (pressure vessel, tank, column, heat exchanger, air cooled heat exchanger, compressor, and pump); calculating cost of bulk items; estimating the engineering, construction, and overhead cost; and summarizing all costs in Executive Price Sheet
