Pacific Aluminium and Rio Tinto proposed to construct a natural gas pipeline to the alumina refinery at Gove in north east Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. The proposed pipeline was approximately 603km in length and the feasibility study included detailed engineering and preparation for construction with the goal of providing full gas of 30PJ/annum by 1st January 2016.
Working with the estimating team I am responsible for the development of tender programs in alignment with the cost estimate that reflect contractual obligations, client requirements, and FKG procedures. I have worked on tenders for projects ranging from $100,000 to $70m in value in a range of fields, including roadworks, oil & gas, CSG, bridgeworks, airports, and rail. My role also includes providing planning support to projects enabling me to see many projects through from tender phase to completion.
I have over eight years’ experience as a construction planner and project controls engineer in both civil and multi-disciplinary construction, with over two years previously working as a site engineer in civil construction. Together, this experience has given me a solid grounding in the requirements and difficulties of a construction programme.
