Parkstone – Freelance Planner

This was building a Children Hospital in Birmingham. Role and responsibilities included;

Contract Planner for Balfour Beatty's GDSP West Midlands’ Gas Mains Renewal schemes, for their client Cadent, and to assist and advise on the roll-out of the new Balfour Beatty GDSP programme planning procedures and also to assist in the development of their new P6 template programme and integrate it’s structure into the existing programmes used to monitor the data from the weekly Push Planning meetings

Contract Project Controller for Amey Utilities’ West Mains Renewal team, scheduling and issuing their Lot 1 Batch 3 programmes for Severn Trent Water, and the County Construction Site Works programmes for the Highways Authority, both to strict monthly timescales.  Assisting with the Mains Renewal programme template and attending County Council Coordination meetings to discuss their Forward Planned roadworks.

Contract Project Planner for SPIE UK, developing and scheduling their Project Hercules programmes, to manage the transfer of M&E equipment from their client Rolls Royce’s old premises to their new production facility.  Converted and transferred MS Project programmes into Primavera P6 and produced weekly updates and reports for the Project update meetings with Rolls Royce’s Project Controls team.

Reported to Package manager, the aim of this scheme was to deliver a new water supply into birmingham to allow extended planned maintenance shutdowns of the Elan Valley Aqueduct

I helped the team to manage resources and risks to accelerate delivery and also to minimise costs during the planning stage
