My role at National Grid was to continue to provide the services as per my time as a contractor supplied from Logikal Projects. In addition, I contributed to data analysis for: stakeholder management, key performance indices, and National Grid planning process improvements. I produced managerial plans for increasing the maturity of work conducted by the scheduling team for the Electricity Transmission Project Controls function. I became a skilled user of Primavera P6 during this role.
I have been involved since the setup of Project Controls within National Grid(circ 2012). I have learnt considerable amount about the challanges of introducing EVM and why it is not just the introduction of P6, peoples behaviours have a big part to play!
I have learnt that data is at the heart of making anything become reality and for that matter a key requirement in being efficient. Know your data and you are half way there.
I have a good grounding in the application of P6 together the the theory behind the build of a plan. I have specific industry related skills(policys & procedures) in managing the key constraints and impact on the plan. I also have a good grounding in problem solving and its practical application which I use regularly to refine and develop key improvements that will support the way project controls is run, making it more efficient and sustainable going forward into the future.

With BPA I am working as a Project Controls Manager, to enhance programme management, resource loading of programmes and cost control. I am developing their understanding of good programme management and the benefits that this can give an organisation.
