• USD 25 Million 500 Man camp at Kabul involving construction of Power / Water Treatment / Waste Water Treatment Plant, Accommodation, MWR, Maintenance & Office Buildings.

• Responsible for applying for Possessions, Protections & Isolations requests through PPS & RIMINI, to gain access to the Rail Infrastructure for the undertaking of engineering works within Network Rails possession planning timescales.
• Provides important support to the Portfolio / Project Teams, enabling the efficient delivery of programme.
• Represent the interests of functional Investment Programme /Project Teams in respect of track access and logistics at Area Planning meetings and co-ordination forums from strategic Annual Integrated Work Plans development compl

Provide independent services/advice to clients, stakeholders, contractors and sub-contractors in the construction industry on all aspects of project delivery/management, project planning, commercial/contracts management, delay analysis and scope change management.

• Provide the Project Managers with support and be responsible for daily planning activities which include managing and updating the construction programme, communicating with internal and customers and stakeholders, attending site meetings.
• Assist in the implementation of the “Project Execution Plan”.
• Assist in the preparation and management of overview and strategic programmes, including design, procurement and construction schedules together with supporting information required schedules.

I was responsible for landing Rigging and Specialist heavy lift projects which included, preparing project proposals and then executing the projects.

The two main projects I worked on were:

Husab Mine in Namibia - where we successfully lifted 4 x 130ton pre-assembled stockpile conveyor sections using strand jacks to a height of 38m. 

Construction of the Grain Mill in Industria. We provided mechanical and rigging skills for the assembly and placement of all mechanical items for an Italian client Omas Industries.

Between September 1998 and October 2006 I worked for Laing / Laing O'Rourke as a site based Trainee / Assistant Planner, Planner and Lead Planner.

As Planning Manager at Morgan Sindall (Welwyn garden City and London offices) I was responsible for:

• Producing tender programmes (and associated tender documents e.g. logistics plans, method statements, scaffold schedules etc),
• Producing contract programmes,
• Producing construction programmes,
• Providing independent progress reviews and advice,
• Producing detailed programmes, short term programmes and recovery programmes etc.

Main Achievements

·        Studied construction process of strip mall while assisting Professor on his research by developing schedules using Primavera (P6) and MS Project and to identify pros and cons of using both software’s on construction projects.

·        Monitored and updated construction activities for the strip mall by tracking daily and weekly progress.
