As a MRO Preferred Partner, major customers included Merck Pharmaceuticals, London Underground and Guinness UDV UK & Ireland. I held a senior role within the Merck Pharmaceuticals CMMS Implementation Project covering an EMEA wide rollout of MAXIMO to 8 sites in 5 countries. Responsibilities included:
-Senior consultant in the delay analysis / forensic planning department
-Various types of projects, including: housing, schools, hotels, mixed-use developments, pipelines, baggage handling systems, etc. (execution and post-execution phases)
-Involved in international arbitrations and in adjudications, assisting the appointed delay expert
-Investigations, reviews and analysis to support / defend claims as required
-Sept. 2008 - Sept. 2010: MSc in Construction Law & Dispute Resolution
Cost analysis and assurance on submarine refit programme. This includes estimating from first principles to varify and compare Contractors estimates
Commercial management and dispute advice has been provided to a selection of clients on contracts that span major building, civil engineering, oil and gas, mechanical and electrical, highway and fit out works.
Ewen is well versed in any of the standard forms of construction contract including the NEC, JCT, ICE, FIDIC and GC Works Conditions as well as bespoke forms of contracts including PFI contracts.
Planning training & planning support, build-up and production of claims, with involvement in programming, analysis of manhours / manpower information and the production of graphical outputs.
