1.      Overall responsibility of Planning – Viaduct in co-ordination with the Stations team

2.      Schedule preparation, monitoring progress and updating schedule (Initial schedule with MSP and subsequently working on P6 package).

3.      CPM Programme for Viaduct Project.

4.      Updating the Baseline Programme & Recovery Programmes.

I am 27 years old, I have a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Supply Chain Management, my experience has been in the construction industry, mostly mechanical erection.

I am currently the Project Planner on the Client's behalf, on a Greenfield Turnkey EPC Project in South Africa, where we are constructing a Cement Grinding Facility.

The Turnkey Contractor is a Chinese based firm, thus I am involved in compiling the reports, reporting on progress, and status of the project, coordinating between site activities and the procurement and supply of equipment from abroad.

Contract Planning Engineer for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCCM) contract on behalf of Green Energy Technology (GET). The project is to generate electricity by converting segregated solid municipal waste into Syngas through plasma gasification and is to be constructed in Sri Lanka in 2010. Using Primavera P3 for both planning and progress monitoring against a resourced target plan, reporting earned value for individual disciplines against a fully developed work breakdown structure.

Contract Planning Engineer for the FW and Shell alliance based at Stanlow Oil Refinery, Ellesmere Port.  Using Primavera P6 to develop project programmes for Design Engineering and EPCm phases of work at Level 3, then integrating Construction Contractor Level 4 detail and monitoring/reporting progress to the Project Lead Engineers using Project Controls processes.

Contract Planning engineer & project controls management for the Design, Build, and Operation of Small (25%) and Medium (50%) Scale Test Rigs. Using Primavera P6 for the management of the level 3 project programme and delivery at level 4 by the responsible contractor.

Contract Planning Engineer responsible for the alignment of schedule with cost on a major EPC contract in the nuclear sector. Utilising Primavera P6 in a planning team environment and responsible for the engineering schedule for several work packages within the overall programme. Also responsible for the development and implementation of an integrated change management process using existing project procedures and change control system.

• Prepare / Review and approve / comment / finalize on the Engineering (Design), consultant/vendor, Budget, Procurement, Construction  & Commissioning schedules as submitted and ensure the Schedule is in compliance with the overall project schedule through critical path method and advise the concerned of any deficiencies from standards.
• Continuously monitor, against approved schedules, the Contractor’s major construction progress and ensure equipment and manpower are adequate or in case of any shortage report to concerned.

8. Guide the young .planner on the above.
