Planning Engineer on Construction and fit-out of a new syringe filling facility for the production of pharmaceutical goods. Duties included Sub-contractor Liaison, overseeing the planning function of principal contractor and monitoring progress against master schedule. Budgetary monitoring over sub-contractors, supplying machinery/automated control systems.

My duties included but were not limited to performing project scheduling using Primavera Project Planner as primary software and Microsoft Project for some parts of the project. Verification of contractor’s performance on site, analysis of resource assignment, coding and filter assignment. Monthly and weekly progress reporting and verification

Preparing the entire activity program for all ongoing Small Projects, including the shutdown activity for 2008.

Weekly meetings with the project engineers for analyzing the performance progress,

Weekly update and reporting to the Capital Manager, to define the assignment for new projects.

Preparing commissioning, test and validation master plan for future jobs.

To assist in the preparation of a claim regarding the previous project.

This involved using personal knowledge of the project & the compiling of all facts/dates & costs into a database from which various graphs/ reports were produced in regard to the claim.

Preparation of detailed tender programme/estimate for a refinery boiler overhaul(3.5M).

Establishing programmes for many & varied new projects, from conceptual design, through construction, to commissioning/validation & monitoring progress & costs.

Formulating Shutdown ’97, ‘98 & ’99 & programmes including resources.

Developed and monitored several Yr2000 Compliance programmes for GlaxoWellcome sites. Establishing a standard Validation programme

Responsible for the front-end installation plan for the Control & Operability of the Olefin’s Plant Re-Instrumentation Project JV06, consisting of an existing Hydro-cracker, Ethylene plant, Boilers and associated machinery.
