Planner employed for weekly/daily production planning for upgrades and recertification of Subsea Xmas Trees. Duties include despatching of work packages, work instructions, clarifying priorities ,monitoring ongoing progress, checking capacity, looking at space requirements for Xmas Trees arriving on site, and determining the resource requirements.
Work Package Co-ordinator employed to manage Aker Solutions Subsea Data, Systems and Software projects, the products developed in the department are the iConSCU and PLC based topside control systems. Each project involves coordinating hardware engineers, software engineers and a test team as well as interfacing with the overall project manager, technical authority, clients, project planners and department managers in addition to overall administration and control of the project. The purpose being to deliver a project on budget and on time.
Working on the Visund Control room upgrade FEED Study - Tasks included creating and developing the project plan, and updating progress for client weekly and monthly meetings. Measurement and analysis of weekly progress and discussion with engineers/management of progress to date. Forecasting man hours, finish dates and comparing planned progress vs actual progress and planned man hours vs actual man hours used.
Presently, I am working in Lanco Infratech Limited as a Planning Engineer in the EPC division of the company. My roles roles and responsibilies for the job are as under.
Development and Monitoring of L2 Schedule and Package wise schedules.
Submitting planning package to client for review and approval.
Developing project applicable WBS (work breakdown structure) and project wide activity codes.
Resource loading and levelling at EPC level and presenting to management to avoid any future resource crunch.
Full Life Cycle development of Plan for offshore projects involving Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and offshore phases. Progress monitoring, updates, baseline development and involvement in creation of planning procedures as required.
Civil Site Manager for the Kulim High Tech Park Power Station. Responsible for the civil engineering department in construction of the civil and building works for a 220MW Gas Turbine Power Station. Duties include liaison with the Client, Consultants and the Power Generation Team.
