Assigned in the Head Office to assist the Project Control Manager in various ongoing projects and produce schedules for bid proposals. It is also my responsibility to collate the different progress reports of each project to produce a Department Report to be submitted to the Managing Director every month.

As the Planning Engineer of UBTG-3 Pipeline Uthmaniyah Gas Plant my responsibilities were to produce and maintain the Level 4 Schedule and assist the Project Manager to ensure that the project is on schedule and within the budgeted man-hours.

As Senior Planning Engineer for the Asia and Middle East Region, I am responsible for the execution of progress control and monitoring of the project(s) assigned to me. I also render assistance to Tendering Department for any Planning and or Scheduling related functions. As the Senior Planning Engineer I am also required to review or make any procedures related to the Planning functions in the Asia & Middle East Region. 

As Senior Planning Engineer for the Asia Pacific Region, I am responsible for the execution of progress control and monitoring of the project(s) assigned to me. I also render assistance to Tendering Department for any Planning and or Scheduling related functions. Responsible for the Procurement and Fabrication Phase as well as pre-Planning stage for the Offshore Installation Phase of the ESSO Kipper Turrum Project 

July 03 – March 04 Reassigned to an ongoing major expansion pharmaceutical project for Novartis in Grimsby, North Lincolnshire. Assisted the project by integrating an expansion of part of the project into the main schedule. Later, assisted the on site planning team with transition schedules taking area/floor build into commissioning hand over packages. Detail down to level three with outstanding pipe to hydro test stage, instruments to loop check, and power supplies to initial run checks. Validation and commissioning was then passed to client control.

Working on Courtaulds Fibres Tencel SL3 Development Plant at Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Responsible to the Site Manager for co-ordinating the planning and progressing of some twenty five sub contractors of all disciplines.

Contractors range through all disciplines from civil, building, steelwork and building finishes to mechanical, piping, painting, insulation, electrical and instrumentation.

Working on the Shell Haven Refinery 1995 Shut Down providing specialist skills to operate Shell’s own Artemis 6000 computerised system.

Site Cost and Planning System Manager (SCAPS)

Exxon Mobile’s Singapore Parallel Train Project, responsible for a team of 3 planners looking after Interconnecting piperacks, secondary process units and Early Tankage scopes of work.

Design and Procurement taking place in FW office in reading, UK and Construction on Jurong Island, Singapore.

Co-ordinating three separate Level 3 schedules using Primavera P3 v 3.1, and Level 1 & 2 schedules utilising milestone Software. Level 3 schedule developed from FEED stage engineering documents with buy in from discipline leads and client through consultation and review.

Working on the Design, Procurement aspects in Portsmouth and then on the Construction at BP Chemicals Saltend Plant.

Firstly on a feasability study for the replcement of the Acid restructuring Project. Project shelved after FEED study.

Moved on to Vivergo Bio-Ethanol Plant Project, also at BP Chemicals, Saltend Hull. Utilising Primavera v 5 and co-ordinating contractors schedules to fit into Master Time Line schedule. Reassigned from Portsmouth to Site from October 2008 with responsibility for updating and monitoring Contractor Site Progress and Earned Value.

1981-1984     Working at the Essochem Fife Ethylene Plant, Mossmorran, Scotland. Working on classified Heaters. Worked up bar chart, progress curves for direct hire labour, together with productivity charts for each discipline.

First use of Computer Software (Artenis v5) to generate and control through Critical Path Analysis (CPA).
