Managing Planning Package (Integrated Planning Network, WBS, KPIs, Equipment & Manpower, S-Curve, Reporting, Methodology for Project Controls)

• • Interacted with Clients and Contractors; conduct condition of satisfactions, requirements to make a workable Project Plan
  • Act as both project planner and scheduler, analyse the project contract requirements, constructability processes and evaluate various stakeholders’ involvement and conceptualize project planning and develop a schedule for a new project
  • Prepared Progress Reporting, Earned Value Analysis, Performance Factor calculation and establishing Construction Logic
  • Monitored company’s portfolio of projects, levelling resources across the portfolio

Structural Design Engineer

1967 - mid 1968: 29 no. Manual design calculations for In-situ culverts on the (then) future Witbank to Middelburg freeway, from first principles to final drawings, in pencil, for submission to the Transvaal Chief Road Engineer. The drawings were traced in ink by qualified tracers before submission.

Finish all works, including maintenance after final account, prepare payment claims and final accounts, negotiations with Engineers and clients, collecting final payments. Contracts at Grabouw, Laingsburg, Cape St Francis and Kenton on Sea.

ndependent construction analyst for improvement of production by defining the most efficient work methods and the best order of works, application of the contract to ensure that a contractor is paid his full entitlement, contractual analysis in support of requests for extension of time, final account measurement and the development and negotiation of new rates for items not included in the tender documents.
